Forever Goldrush killed last night. They were well practiced and better for the addition of Becky with her back-up vocals and generally awesomeness. I hope they had a good time and want to play more gigs. I have been missing hearing Damon's unique voice. No one sounds like him. It was like a balm standing there listening to it next to my ex-boyfriend who I can't even work up a healthy dislike for anymore. Everyone was in a good mood. Even my mortal enemy stepped on my toes and offered a heartfelt apology. What is up? I think this cool August is changing how we deal with each other socially and maybe that is a good thing. Anyway, back to the show, the crowd was down from Amador county and it hearkened back to the time when boys from Amador ruled the scene the way boys from Yuba do now. Everybody had a great time singing along to all the songs. Thanks F-Grush. Nice to see ya!
This morning I woke up at 7:30 and stayed in bed reading Mr. Darcy's Diary. I had to stay in bed until I finished it. In that story there is always a point that when crossed, leads me to read hungrily until I know that Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth are safely together at Pemberly where they belong.
Now a long walk with the dog, then Record Club and the Kinks show? Hopefully I'll have time to blanch some vegetables somewhere in there. Blanched veggies on salad are my new favorite thing. Give me a nice blanched green bean and I am a happy lady.
Seems like I have been concentrating on pleasing myself this weekend. Hmm. maybe I'll up the ante and give someone a kiss.
